ABOUT ME
My name is Andrea Bennett - a passionate and energetic leader with an impressive track record of success within the retail sector, with a focus on product, proposition and customer needs. I have been involved in UK retail for more than 30 years, starting life on the shop floor as a store manager and proudly working my way up to Buying Director in 2010, leading a team of 30 buyers, designers and QAs. I was responsible for delivering sales and margin growth across all categories and evolving the proposition to ensure the business remained fit for purpose.
Art and Craft, Stationery, Books, Toys and Games are just some of the categories I have experience in. However, my ability to spot trends and crazes has often been demonstrated to be transformational to customer footfall and turnover. A proactive approach to stock selection is what makes the difference.

Product is my passion; spotting, sourcing, developing it and watching the resulting sales built on strong customer satisfaction. Additionally, I love mentoring and coaching bright, young talent, up-skilling existing teams in areas where they may need support. My strength is innovating and dreaming up strong own brands, building the creative look and feel to ensure it's a compelling offer on the shelf.
